Poulsbo Community Orchestra Presents – Out & About

Head “Out & About” for Poulsbo Community Orchestra’s June 4th concert. In their annual pops program, PCO will perform music that evokes the outdoors, fresh air, sea, and sky along with music from stage and screen. Works include Another Day of Sun (from La La Land), March from The Great Escape, Aaron Copland’s Outdoor Overture, ’76 Trombones (from The Music Man), Merry-Go-Round of Life (from Howl’s Moving Castle), and the Superman March by John Williams, plus a few surprises to help kick start the summer season.

Poulsbo Community Orchestra Presents – Go North!

Welcome the transformative nature of spring on March 18th as Poulsbo Community Orchestra presents “Go North!,” led by Music Director and Conductor Joseph Pollard White. Grand crescendos, tension, and magical intensity infuse this performance of celebrated works from the Northlands. The program showcases Edvard Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite and – featuring one of concert music’s most recognized and extraordinary openings – the 1st movement of his Piano Concerto, with Guest Soloist Michael Carroll. Rounding out the program are Finlandia by Jean Sibelius and the ‘Hebrides’ Overture by Felix Mendelssohn.

Soggy Sasquatch Festival

Celebrating fall in the PNW with our 2nd Annual Soggy Sasquatch Fest. We will feature chainsaw carving, a live wood carving auction, games, craft fair vendors, food and drink specials, and a free concert by the one and only JOEL GIBSON JR.!

Event Details:

  • Live chainsaw carving from 12-6PM
  • Chainsaw carving auction 4PM
  • Chili cook-off judging 5PM. If you wish to enter, please bring chili by 4PM for entry. Please have list of ingredients and be prepared to serve your chili if necessary. Winners will be determined by voting tickets. No charge for entry and tasting.
  • Local vendors will be showcasing their crafts and merchandise.
  • Free concert at 6PM by Joel Gibson Jr.! Joel is the rising star from Kitsap and has been featured in many amazing venues, and now the Bushel and Barrel! Consider bringing folding camping chairs.

No entry fees for patrons and spectators.

Kids and pets are welcome, but you have to keep dogs on leashes and kids under direct supervision for their safety.

Come enjoy the perks of living in the Pacific Northwest with lumberjacks, good food and cider, and great friends!

Poulsbo First Lutheran Church Community Christmas Concert

POULSBO FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH
COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS CONCERT

PFLC Cathedral Choir, Poulsbo Elementary Chorus,
Bethany Lutheran Choir, NKHS Vocal Point

Poulsbo First Lutheran Church will present a Community Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 11th at 2:00 PM in the church sanctuary. Featured groups will include the PFLC Cathedral Choir and Bethany Lutheran Choir of Bainbridge, as well as two vocal groups from the North Kitsap Schools including Poulsbo Elementary Chorus and Vocal Point from NKHS.
Admission is free however suggested donations of unwrapped new toys and non-perishable food items are welcomed. These items will be donated to North Kitsap Fishline to benefit families in the immediate community. There will be coffee, hot cider and cookies available following the concert in the church Social Hall.

Kitsap Chordsmen Show “We Need A Little Christmas”

2:00PM Matinee and 7:00PM Evening shows.

Harmony Singing in 4-part Barbershop Style, and other styles, with humor and sentiment all wrapped in Christmas and holiday cheer.  The 25-man chorus, the West Sound’s best A Cappella chorus, will perform familiar and not-so-familiar carols and holiday songs, as will chapter quartets and guest performers.  Dramatic text will connect songs for a wonderful and heartwarming show to start your season.
