Marrow Manor in Full Swing

A guided tour of Port Gamble highlighting the town’s history of the paranormal. Includes tours of the more active buildings in town. Must be 16+ to attend. $25 per person and reservations required.

Kitsap Haunted Fairgrounds

11th Annual Kitsap Haunted Fairgrounds, one of the largest haunted house events in all of Washington State. This event covers 22,000 square feet of scary thrills.

When:
5:00 PM – 11:00 PM The last four weekends of October; 5-6 pm the lights are on

Who:
The Haunted Fairgrounds is an alternative to trick or treating for older kids. Great fun for teens and adults.

How:

Cost:
Lights on and no scare from 5-6pm for $5 per person, otherwise is $15 per person.

Poulsbo Farmers Market

The Poulsbo Farmers Market is a long-season, outdoor market featuring regional farmers, crafters and food processors showcasing some of the freshest, most local products available.

Some market facts:

  • The market hosted about 35 vendors each Saturday, last season.
  • Nearly 30,000 customer visits were recorded in 2014.
  • In both 2010 and 2011, Poulsbo was nominated by the Washington State Farmers Market Association as Farmers
  • Market of the Year.
  • The PFM is known for events such as Tomato Taste-Off, the Harvest Dinner and the Pumpkin Party
  • Every week a local act performs live music at the market, featuring everything from country and the Blues to jazz, ragtime, and gypsy fiddle tunes.
  • Smaller events include talks from visiting authors, chef demonstrations, and classes on subjects like preserving food, beekeeping, gardening and icecream making.

Super Saturday at Poulsbo Marine Science Center

We are offering the classes listed below at the center. Class size is limited to 16 children. Classes are from 9AM-11AM. Class registration is through this form. Please print, scan, and email your application at least a week in advance to Ellena Pollock at epollock@poulsbomsc.org. If you fill out your application online, please use either Safari or Firefox, as otherwise your information will not be sent.

Dates are:

October 17th (Marvellous Mollusks), and November 14th (Terrific Tools).

A few things to remember: a small snack is provided, but you are welcome to bring snacks for your children. Since it’s possible that children will get wet, please bring extra dry clothing. We do not charge for these classes, but please feel free to donate as the supplies cost money. These classes are suitable for children ages 5-9. Each family must have at least one adult/guardian that is present and responsible for their children.

Each class will provide an opportunity to see and touch live specimens.
